Educational and methodological activities were carried out in the discipline “Special Microbiology, Virology and Parasitology”

From February 16 to 27, 2026, at Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, educational and methodological activities were conducted within the framework of the academic mobility program for the discipline “Private Microbiology, Virology and Parasitology”.
The program was attended by B.T. Seitkhanova, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Microbiology, Allergology and Immunology of South Kazakhstan Medical Academy.
The main objective of the academic mobility program was to exchange educational experience between medical higher education institutions, introduce modern teaching technologies into the educational process, and improve students’ theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
During the visit, practical and laboratory classes were conducted for students. The training covered the biological properties of pathogenic microorganisms and modern methods of laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases, including PCR and serological testing. In addition, clinical case discussions were held and the algorithms for performing microbiological laboratory investigations were demonstrated.
Within the framework of the academic mobility program, an interdepartmental exchange of experience was carried out, and issues related to the improvement of educational programs and the further development of scientific and educational cooperation were discussed. At the end of the program, a discussion was held with the participation of faculty members and students, during which the possibilities of implementing innovative educational technologies in the learning process were considered.
Following the visit, for her contribution to the development of educational and scientific cooperation between higher education institutions, Professor B.T. Seitkhanova was awarded a letter of appreciation by Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov.
