On October 30, 2026, a lecture and consultation session entitled “Early Clinical Manifestations of Infectious Diseases” was held at the City Children’s Hospital for children receiving treatment and their parents.
The event was organized by students of groups ІПҚ-02-26 and ІПҚ-03-26, together with K.R. Karsybayeva and A.E. Toleuova, Assistants of the Department of Pediatrics-1.
The primary aim of the event was to improve parents’ health literacy regarding infectious diseases, help them recognize the early signs of illness in children, and explain measures for preventing possible complications.
During the lecture, information was provided on the early clinical manifestations of infectious diseases in children, including fever, general weakness, loss of appetite, cough, runny nose, sore throat, skin rash, vomiting, and diarrhoea. Particular attention was given to recognizing warning signs, providing appropriate home care for an ill child, observing personal hygiene, preventing the spread of infection, and seeking medical care promptly.
During the session, parents had the opportunity to ask questions and receive professional recommendations. The educational activities were aimed at increasing parental awareness and promoting the early detection of infectious diseases in children.
Such health education initiatives contribute to protecting children’s health, preventing infectious diseases, and promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population.
