FACULTY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACOLOGY OF SKMA TOOK PART IN THE VIII INTERNATIONAL PHARMACEUTICAL FORUM “ACADEMY OF THE PHARMACIST”

On October 1, 2025, the VIII International Pharmaceutical Forum “Academy of the Pharmacist” was held in Shymkent, bringing together leading specialists in the fields of pharmacy and clinical pharmacology. The faculty members of the Department of Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapy, and Clinical Pharmacology of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (SKMA) actively participated in the forum.

The delegation included: Abuova G.T. – PhD in Biological Sciences, Acting Associate Professor; Pernebekova R.K. – PhD, Acting Professor; Syrmanova N.R. – Master of Medical Sciences, Senior Lecturer; Dustanova Zh.T. – Senior Lecturer.

 Special attention should be given to the contribution of Gulnara Turganbaevna Abuova, who is one of the authors of the book “Pharmaceutical Care” and one of the founders of the trajectory for the development of the clinical pharmacist profession in Kazakhstan. She actively promotes modern approaches to clinical pharmacy and is the author of a number of scientific articles dedicated to pharmaceutical care and the integration of clinical pharmacy into medical practice.

During the forum, the participants met with Raisa Salmangabetovna Kuzdenbayeva, President of the Public Association “Professional Association of Clinical Pharmacologists and Pharmacists”, as well as Tazagul Rimovna Audekova, a professional trainer in continuing education for pharmacists.

 The discussions focused on key issues in the field, including: • the development of pharmaceutical care; • the advancement of clinical pharmacy in healthcare practice; • strengthening the role of pharmacological education in training future specialists.

Participation in such a large-scale event allowed the SKMA faculty to expand professional connections, exchange experience, and outline new areas for cooperation in pharmacy and medicine.
