Today, a seminar-training titled “Fostering Zero Tolerance, Protecting Human Rights, and Enhancing Social Responsibility” was held at the college of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. The event was jointly organized by the college’s Psychological Service and the Youth Policy Department.
The purpose of the seminar was to explain to students the importance of building a safe, fair, and responsible society. Zero tolerance, the protection of human rights, and social responsibility are fundamental pillars of any civilized society. During the seminar, psychologist Aza Mirsadykova from the Psychological Service addressed each concept individually and explained them in clear and accessible language.
“Zero tolerance means not turning a blind eye to any negative actions that harm society. In other words, it implies absolutely no acceptance of law violations, injustice, violence, corruption, or discrimination. If every individual refuses to remain indifferent to such negative phenomena, order and safety in society will be strengthened.
Protecting human rights is one of the key principles of a democratic society. Everyone is equal before the law. The rights of every person must be protected regardless of nationality, gender, religion, or social status. It is also important that institutions and organizations responsible for protecting citizens’ rights operate in an open, accessible, and transparent manner.
Social responsibility is the awareness of one’s duty to society. This applies not only to individuals but also to companies and government bodies. Each of us should understand that our actions affect others and strive to make honest and conscious decisions. Contributing positively to society, obeying the law, and treating others with respect are manifestations of social responsibility,” said Aza Mirsadykova.
During the seminar, participants shared their opinions and discussed various situations. Such events help increase legal awareness among young people and foster an active civic position.
