
On September 30, 2026, the Psychological Service, jointly with the Department of Kazakh, Russian and Latin Languages, held an educational and preventive meeting for students on the topic “Gambling Addiction: No to Addiction, Yes to Conscious Choice.” The main purpose of the meeting was to prevent gambling addiction among students, raise awareness of its psychological and social consequences, and highlight the importance of making conscious decisions and responsible choices. During the meeting, students received information about the concept of gambling addiction, its causes and main signs, as well as its impact on a person’s emotional well-being, studies, relationships, and social life. Students were also informed about the importance of managing their free time effectively, regulating emotions, identifying risky situations at an early stage, and seeking psychological support when facing difficulties. The meeting was conducted in an interactive format, allowing students to share their opinions and discuss various real-life situations. Participants gained useful information about making conscious choices, taking responsibility for their actions, and preventing addictive behavior.
