In accordance with the approved Parassat educational work plan of SKMA for the 2025–2026 academic year, a round table discussion on the topic “Harassment: Legal Aspects and Measures for Its Prevention” was held. The event was organized by Senior Lecturer M.M. Malikov of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences with the participation of members of the Parassat club.
The purpose of the event was to explain the concept of harassment to students, reveal its legal consequences, foster a culture of respect for personal boundaries, and develop skills for preventing harassment.
The objectives of the event included explaining the types and signs of harassment, providing information on legal responsibility based on the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, teaching safe behavior and self-protection methods, as well as clarifying where and how to seek help in cases where a person becomes a victim of harassment.

During the event, it was noted that recently the term “harassment” has been increasingly used to describe unethical behavior by one individual that violates the privacy of another. At the same time, it was emphasized that this term is not yet sufficiently developed in the legal sphere and that harassment includes not only sexual harassment but also any actions that degrade human dignity and create an atmosphere of shame, discomfort, or fear.
As part of the round table, the clear goals and objectives of the educational institution in training future medical professionals were outlined. Participants were introduced to the Academy’s Code of Ethics and Academic Integrity, the ethical standards and disciplinary rules for students, as well as the Students’ Code of Honor. The essence, signs, and types of harassment, its manifestations in the educational environment, legal norms, and liability measures предусмотренные законодательством Республики Казахстан were explained. In addition, special attention was paid to the psychological consequences of harassment and methods for its prevention.
