Herald of Independence, Leader of the Nation

On May 21, 2026, a scientific and educational conference titled “Herald of Independence, Leader of the Nation” was held at the Al-Farabi City Scientific and Universal Library in honor of the 160th anniversary of Alikhan Bokeikhanov, the leader of the Alash movement and an outstanding public and statesman figure.
The event was attended by Associate Professor O.A. Turebayev, Senior Lecturer A.A. Myrzaziya from the Department of “History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences,” as well as second-year Medical students. During the conference, participants discussed Alikhan Bokeikhanov’s struggle for the independence of the Kazakh people, the historical significance of the Alash movement, and his contribution to the formation of national statehood.
The main purpose of the event was to promote awareness among young people about the life and legacy of the Alash leaders, foster historical consciousness, encourage patriotism and love for the homeland, and introduce the spiritual heritage of Alikhan Bokeikhanov.
As part of the conference, participants listened to presentations, explored historical materials, and exchanged opinions. Students received answers to their questions and engaged in meaningful discussions about national values and the importance of the idea of independence.
The event was organized at a high level and left a strong spiritual impression on all participants.
