The atmosphere of the Pushkin Library — its breath, the scent of books, the warm light of the reading hall — all left a special impression. As part of the educational activity of the S-FK-11-01-24 AB group titled “I have read it, and I recommend you to read it,” the students visited this cultural center. The library staff organized a special informative event dedicated to Shoqan Walikhanov.
During the event, a video about Shoqan’s life and his contribution to science was shown. The librarians told an insightful story about his expeditions across the country, his artistic talent, and his courage as a researcher.
A book exhibition dedicated to Shoqan was arranged. It felt as if each book on the shelves was quietly whispering, “read me.”
The students shared their thoughts about Shoqan’s role in promoting culture and the deep meaning behind his short life. It was clear that the young people were intrigued by the life of this historical figure; they were surprised and inspired as they learned new facts.
The library’s atmosphere motivated them to read and once again proved that “knowledge is freedom.”
The event broadened the students’ spiritual horizons. The exemplary life of Shoqan Walikhanov serves as a call to pursue knowledge, science, and service to the nation. The idea of “I have read it” lit a small spark in the hearts of the group members, and now they too are ready to recommend reading to others.
