
At the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, organized by the Department of Engineering Disciplines, an event titled “Independence – the Pillar of an Eternal Nation” was held. On the eve of Independence Day, the event was opened by the Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Social Affairs of the academy, Salim Erbol Kaltursynuly, who congratulated all attendees on the upcoming important holiday.

In his speech, Erbol Kaltursynuly emphasized that independence is a sacred concept for our people, and preserving and respecting it is a shared responsibility for all of us. The event continued with an informative report by 3rd-year student Akbayan Abdimalikova, who spoke about the history of the formation of the state symbols and their significance as a clear mark of an independent nation. Next, 3rd-year students took the stage, presenting a performance showcasing the traditional costumes of Kazakh girls from different eras. A powerful scene dedicated to the December events moved the audience and reminded them of the bravery of young people who sacrificed themselves for the independence of the country. During the event, student Miyat Aruzhan performed the kyu “Life’s Path,” deeply touching the audience, and the girls from the art group “Shabyt” performed the “Thousand Twists” dance, showcasing the beauty of national art. The event concluded with a poetic performance titled “What is Happiness…” presented by the academy’s students.
