INDUSTRIAL INTERNSHIP AT THE «YNTYMAK» BASE

3rd-year students of the «Pharmacy» educational program and 2nd-year students of the accelerated «Pharmacy» educational program completed their industrial internship in the discipline of «Pharmacognosy» at the «Yntymak» base.

The main goal of the industrial internship is to consolidate and enhance the theoretical knowledge gained by students during lectures and practical classes, to acquire knowledge, skills, and competencies related to the cultivation and harvesting of medicinal plant materials, the rational use and restoration of natural resources, and to master the basic methods of growing medicinal plants.

From the very first days of the internship, students introduced to occupational safety rules, the internship program, and schedule. During the internship, students learned methods of cultivating and caring for medicinal plants in accordance with the principles of GACP (Good Agricultural and Collection Practice). Throughout the internship, students became acquainted with various types of medicinal plants at the “Yntymak” base and compiled a floristic list of these plants. They applied their theoretical knowledge in practice through herbarium preparation, drying, and storing of the collected medicinal plant raw materials.
