Information hour "Fight against drug addiction – contribution to society"

On October 7, 2025, an information hour "Combating drug addiction – a contribution to society" was organized at the Shymkent City Youth Library in order to prevent drug addiction and promote a healthy lifestyle among young people and students. The event was attended by senior lecturer of the Department of Kazakh, Russian and Latin languages A. S. Zhakipova and 1st year students of the Faculty of Dentistry in –SO-10-25. The library staff explained the topic extensively and held an important conversation aimed at the spiritual and moral development of young people. During the event, participants were provided with extensive information about the dangers of drug addiction for human health, family and society and explained using specific examples. The guests of the meeting were Aigul Tleukhanovna Baykasova, a specialist from the Shymkent City Health Department and the AIDS Prevention and Control Center, Raushan Asanovna Baymurunova, a psychiatrist and narcologist, and A. S. Zhakipova, a senior lecturer. The video "Drug addiction is the disease of the Century" was shown, where students shared their thoughts on the topic. Experts conducted free interviews with young people, explained how to avoid bad habits, and gave vital advice. "A healthy lifestyle is the key to a bright future!" special attention was paid to the importance of each young person's responsible attitude to their health.
