Integrity and Responsibility: The Choice of a Conscientious Generation

On October 28, 2026, the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Organization of Pharmaceutical Practice at South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, jointly with Bayan Seitjapparovna Baiymbetova, Chief Specialist of the Department of Social and Youth Policy, organized a round-table discussion entitled “Integrity and Responsibility: The Choice of a Conscientious Generation — Academic Integrity, Anti-Corruption Culture, Internal Discipline, and Drug Abuse Prevention.”
The event brought together representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office, law enforcement agencies, higher education institutions, and professional organizations. Alma Nurmaganbetovna Satkanbayeva, Senior Prosecutor of the Enbekshi District Prosecutor’s Office, and lawyer Kairat Daniyarbekovich Atambayev emphasized the importance of fostering an anti-corruption culture, improving legal literacy, and encouraging every citizen to recognize their personal responsibility before the law.

Particular attention was given to the prevention of drug-related crime and cybercrime. Representatives of the Police Department, Bauyrzhan Kanatovich Karbekov and Bakytzhan Tursynbayevich Bekbayev, informed the students about modern threats and effective ways to protect themselves. Khadisha Derbesovna Alzhanova, Head of the Damu Association of Pharmaceutical and Medical Organizations, and Aigul Amangeldiyevna Sadykova, Acting Head of the Shymkent Department of the Pharmacy Committee of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, highlighted the importance of integrity and responsibility in professional practice.
During the discussion, students had an opportunity to ask the experts questions and engage in an open exchange of views. The informative meeting contributed to enhancing the students’ legal awareness, reinforcing the principles of academic integrity, and fostering a deeper sense of responsibility toward society.
