“Language Is a Golden Bridge of Friendship” English Language Competition

Within the framework of the English Language Decade, on 17.09.2026, the Department of Foreign Languages organized and conducted an educational English language competition between students of groups ВM-SКA-03-26 and ВM-SКB-03-26.
The purpose of the event was to increase students’ interest in learning English, develop their communication skills in three languages, expand their vocabulary, and enhance their intellectual and creative abilities. In addition, the competition aimed to promote teamwork and cooperation and to foster respect for the Kazakh, Russian, and English languages.
During the competition, the two groups competed in several rounds. The participants recited proverbs and sayings in Kazakh, Russian, and English, completed unfinished expressions, solved riddles, and performed various tasks in all three languages. They also demonstrated their vocabulary, linguistic knowledge, resourcefulness, and ability to think quickly.
At every stage, the team members displayed active participation, strong teamwork, and a high level of preparation. While completing the competition tasks, the students demonstrated the importance of proficiency in three languages and showcased both their intellectual and creative abilities.
The event was conducted in an engaging and dynamic atmosphere and provided the participants with a positive experience. At the conclusion of the competition, the most active participants received awards, and both groups were formally thanked for their participation.
Educational events of this kind contribute to increasing students’ motivation to learn languages, developing their ability to communicate confidently in a multilingual environment, and supporting the comprehensive development of their skills and talents.
