Legal and safety rules explained to international students

An event for international students studying at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy was held at the Youth Resource Center in Shymkent. The students were introduced to the country’s internal and external regulations, as well as safety requirements. Representatives of law enforcement and local executive bodies were specially invited to the meeting, where they provided useful information on various topics. In particular, the event was attended by Ruslan Yermakhanov, Prosecutor of the Al-Farabi District Prosecutor’s Office; Police Lieutenant Colonel Dinmukhamed Bekbolatuly, Deputy Head of the Local Police Service Department of the Shymkent City Police Department for the Al-Farabi District; Police Major Abzal Narenbayev, Deputy Head of the Criminal Police Department; Lieutenant Colonel Yerzhan Saparbayev, Head of the Migration Service Department; Elmira Khurshidova, Head of the Housing and Gas-Technical Inspection Department of the City Environment Quality and Control Administration; as well as Senior Lieutenant Qalykuly Kuanyshov, Engineer of the Al-Farabi District Emergency Situations Department, and Officer Arnat Ushanov. During the event, experts provided international students with detailed information on important issues such as maintaining public order, preventing offenses, migration regulations, household safety, fire safety, procedures in emergency situations, proper use of gas and electrical appliances, and housing security. In addition, videos aimed at preventing drug addiction and harmful behaviors were shown and explained to the students. These materials were presented to emphasize the importance of avoiding negative actions. At the end of the meeting, students asked specialists questions of interest and received comprehensive answers. Such awareness-raising activities will continue to be organized on a regular basis.
