“Ludomania – the Disease of the Century”

On October 13, 2025, an event titled “Ludomania – the Disease of the Century” was held, organized by the Psychological Service and the Department of Kazakh, Russian, and Latin Languages.
In today’s society, with the development of technology and the widespread popularity of online games, the issue of ludomania (gambling addiction) has become increasingly relevant. This addiction negatively affects a person’s mental and social well-being, relationships, and overall quality of life.
In this regard, educational activities were conducted to raise awareness about the prevention of ludomania, recognition of addiction symptoms, and measures to combat it.
The main goal of the event was to enhance participants’ psychological awareness about ludomania, teach them to identify signs of gambling addiction, explain its harmful effects on human life, and introduce available support methods.
