Medical Workers’ Day Celebrated at South Kazakhstan Medical Academy

A ceremonial event dedicated to Medical Workers’ Day was held at South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. The event was attended by the sole founder of JSC “SKMA,” Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Serikzhan Seitzhanovich Seitzhanov, who congratulated healthcare professionals on their professional holiday. During the ceremony, academy employees were honored with awards from the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan and special letters of appreciation from the founder. 

Letters of Appreciation from the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan were awarded to Aktoty Koptaeva, Head of the Clinical Disciplines-1 Department of the Medical College, and Dana Auezkhankyzy, Head of the Joint Educational Programs Development Department. Certificates of Honor from the Ministry of Healthcare were presented to Gulnar Mustapayeva, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Neurology, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation Medicine and Neurosurgery, and Laura Sarypbekova, Assistant of the Department of Infectious Diseases. The “Excellence in Healthcare” badge was awarded to Nurlan Kalmenov, Head of the Practical Skills Center. The medal “For Contribution to Healthcare” was presented to Bibigul Seitkhanova, Head of the Department of Microbiology, Allergology and Immunology, while the “Veteran of Labor” medal was awarded to Namazbay Ormanov, Professor of the Department of Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapy and Clinical Pharmacology.

 A number of employees also received special Letters of Appreciation from the academy’s founder, Serikzhan Seitzhanovich Seitzhanov. Aishabibi Duisenbekovna Karzhaubayeva, Senior Research Fellow at the Pharmacy Research Center, received a special certificate worth 2 million tenge from the sole founder of JSC “SKMA,” Serikzhan Seitzhanovich Seitzhanov. During the celebration, the Rector of the Academy, Zhanna Seitzhanova, delivered a congratulatory speech and presented letters of appreciation to employees who achieved outstanding KPI performance results. The title “Best Teacher – 2026” was awarded to Marina Ivanova, Head of the Department of Medical Biophysics and Information Technologies; Zhanat Nurzhanbayeva, Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences; Botagoz Torlanova, Professor of the Department of Pharmaceutical Production Technology; Zhumaly Kauyzbay, Head of the Department of Family Medicine; Aizat Seidakhmetova, Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine and Nursing; Bibigul Seitkhanova, Head of the Department of Microbiology, Allergology and Immunology; and Kulpan Orynbasarova, Professor of the Department of Drug Technology and Pharmacognosy. The “Best Scientist – 2026” award was presented to Saule Ordabayeva, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry; Leila Musabekova and Botagoz Torlanova, Professors of the Department of Pharmaceutical Production Technology; Kulpan Orynbasarova, Head of the Pharmacy Research Center; and Kanatzhan Kemelbekov, Dean of the Internship Faculty. The “Best Mentor – 2026” title was awarded to Aziza Zhakypova and Kuralai Shadiyeva, Senior Lecturers of the Department of Kazakh, Russian and Latin Languages; Orynbasar Ashirbayev, Head of the Physical Education Center; Zhanat Nurzhanbayeva, Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences; and Amangeldi Satayev, Head of the Department of General Education Disciplines. The “Best Department – 2026” award was granted to the Department of Drug Technology and Pharmacognosy, the Department of Pediatrics-2, the Department of Organization and Management of Pharmacy Practice, the Department of Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapy and Clinical Pharmacology, and the Department of Emergency Medicine and Nursing. All winners and award recipients received financial incentives. During the festive evening, Doctor of Medical Sciences Yelzhan Birtanov delivered a congratulatory speech and presented Letters of Appreciation from the Rector of the Academy, Zhanna Seitzhanova, to several employees.
