Meeting Held with Medical Interns

Today, a meeting was held at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy with medical interns enrolled for the 2026–2027 academic year. The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Maria Ulasbekovna Anartaeva and Dean of Internship, PhD, Associate Professor Kanatzhan Saukhanbekovich Kemelbekov.

During the meeting, the key areas of internship transformation and the organization of the educational process for the 2026–2027 academic year were explained. In accordance with the updated educational program, 70% of the educational process will focus on practical training at clinical sites, where interns will have the opportunity to improve their practical skills under the supervision of qualified mentors.

The meeting also covered internship specialty areas, clinical training at primary healthcare facilities, modern assessment methods, forms of ongoing, interim, and final assessment, academic and internal disciplinary requirements, the trilingualism policy, maintaining an intern portfolio, as well as duty shifts at clinical sites.

At the end of the meeting, the medical interns asked questions of interest to them and received comprehensive answers.
