
On October 1, 2026, the Faculty of Medicine of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy held a meeting with first-year students enrolled in the Medicine and accelerated Medicine educational programmes.
The primary purpose of the event was to support students’ adaptation to the Academy’s educational environment, introduce them to the organisation of the learning process, and explain their academic responsibilities.
During the meeting, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine A. Seidakhmetova informed the first-year students about the main requirements for successful study, including regular attendance, timely completion of academic assignments, and adherence to the principles of academic integrity. Particular attention was also paid to active participation in university life, as well as students’ professional and personal development.

During the meeting, the institution’s Compliance Officer, Nurgali Alikhanovich Pernebayev, also addressed the students and provided explanations on combating corruption, preventing corruption-related offenses, and avoiding corrupt practices. He also highlighted the principles of academic integrity and explained the importance of demonstrating honesty and responsibility throughout the educational process.
The students were informed about the procedure for calculating the Integrated GPA, the Academy’s internal regulations, and the key requirements to be observed throughout their studies.
The meeting was held in an open-dialogue format. Students had an opportunity to ask questions and receive the necessary information. Such meetings help first-year students adapt to their new academic environment and plan their studies effectively.
