Mentorship session held on the topic “A Day in the Life of a Pharmacist”

A mentorship session titled “A Day in the Life of a Pharmacist” was held at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, organized by the Department of Organization and Management of Pharmaceutical Practice. The purpose of the event was to familiarize students with the daily life and professional activities of future specialists, increase their interest in the profession, and provide career guidance. The session was moderated by the Chairman of the Public Association “SKMA Alumni Association,” Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Sapakbay M.M., and the Head of the Department, Associate Professor Shimirova Zh.K. During the meeting, they spoke to students about the importance of the pharmaceutical field, current development trends, and future opportunities. Invited guests included academy graduates: a 2008 graduate, Development Supervisor in professional associations Kaspanova A.S., and a 2020 graduate, Head of Pharmacy No.1 of Zerde Pharm LLP Aldabergen B.O., who shared their professional experiences. The event was also attended by the Head of the Youth Policy Department Turabek M.A., Chief Specialist for Social Work Baymbetova B.S., representatives of the Faculty of Pharmacy dean’s office, department staff, and students of the mentorship group FҚ 03-21. During the session, students asked questions of interest and received valuable advice from professionals. Such events play an important role in shaping the professional outlook of future specialists and strengthening their confidence in their chosen career.
