Methods of treating bronchial obstructive syndrome in children were discussed

The “GP-1” Department conducted an open class with the ІZhTDK 08-24 group under the guidance of the department assistant, Master of Medical Sciences G.N. Nurmakhanovna, on the topic: “Physician’s Actions in Broncho-Obstructive Syndrome in Children and Its Complications Using Practical Skills.”
The class was attended by the Head of the Department, Associate Professor G.M. Datkaeva; Methodologist of the Educational and Methodological Center G.S. Aldabergenova; Methodologist of the Practical Skills Center A.A. Seitbekova; and department assistants P.S. Suleimenova and N.K. Tungyshbayeva.
At the Practical Skills Center of “SKMA” JSC, interns followed a clinical scenario using mannequins and necessary equipment to practice providing first aid to a child, conducted instrumental and laboratory tests, and drew relevant conclusions. The class was divided into three stations:
Station 1: Interns demonstrated communication skills, the ability to resolve conflicts, and effective interaction with patients.
Station 2: Interns competently performed a general patient examination, auscultation, percussion, and palpation. Anthropometric measurements were carried out in the correct order and according to the standards. The features of broncho-obstructive syndrome were identified according to the lesson’s topic, the appropriate management strategy was determined, and first aid was provided according to clinical protocols.
Station 3: Interns demonstrated their ability to manage various complications related to the topic. Proper techniques for collecting laboratory samples were shown, along with a qualitative analysis of the results.
Interns improved their skills in establishing proper patient interaction, adhering to ethical and deontological standards, providing timely emergency care, and recognizing their professional responsibilities using standardized patients.
The “GP-1” Department makes a significant contribution to the training of competitive, well-educated interns with developed clinical thinking skills.
