Students of SKMA were informed about the risks of dropper schemes and online fraud.

A meeting dedicated to an important and relevant topic was held at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. Bolysbekova Meruert Omirzakkyzy, a representative of Alatau City Bank, specially visited the institution and delivered an informative lecture to students on financial security issues. During the meeting, the speaker explained the concept of “dropping” (acting as a money mule), which is currently widespread, highlighting its risks and consequences. She also provided concrete examples of the legal liabilities faced by individuals involved in such activities, whether intentionally or unintentionally. In addition, detailed information was given about modern types of fraud, including online financial crimes, scam calls, phishing links, and deceptive practices on social media. Students were advised on how to protect their personal data, ensure the safety of their bank cards and accounts, and avoid suspicious offers. Students from the Faculties of Pharmacy and Medicine actively participated in the event, asking questions of interest. The meeting was held in an interactive format, where participants discussed real-life scenarios and received practical advice.
