«National Clothing Day»

On March 18, 2026, the Department of Foreign Languages of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy filmed a video featuring teachers and students dedicated to National Clothing Day. Since 2024, March 18 has been officially recognized in Kazakhstan as National Clothing Day.
National Clothing Day is a special occasion aimed at promoting the traditional clothing of different nations and celebrating national culture and customs. This holiday gives people an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of their people’s history, art, and spiritual values.
The national clothing of the Kazakh people has been formed over many centuries. Clothing styles were created according to the people’s lifestyle, nomadic way of life, and natural conditions. The clothes were mainly made from wool, leather, felt, and silk.
