A preventive awareness event titled “No to Drugs!” was held at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy within the framework of the “Law and Order” concept proposed by the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The event was attended by internship students and academy staff members. The purpose of the meeting was to prevent drug addiction among young people, promote a healthy lifestyle, and raise awareness about the harmful impact of drug-related crimes on society. The event featured Yerkebulan Zholtabarov, Police Captain and Operational Officer of the Anti-Drug Crime Unit of the Shymkent Station Transport Police Department under the Transport Police Department. He provided detailed information about the dangers of synthetic drugs, which are becoming increasingly widespread among young people, and explained their severe consequences for human health, mental well-being, and future prospects. In addition, he emphasized that the illegal possession, transportation, and distribution of narcotic substances are criminal offenses and may result in legal liability. During the meeting, participants exchanged views on the importance of combating drug abuse and received answers to their questions. At the end of the event, students were encouraged to stay away from harmful habits and focus on their education and professional development. Such educational and preventive meetings contribute to improving young people's legal awareness and strengthening their sense of responsibility toward society.
