On the Implementation of the Academic Mobility Program of the Faculty Members of the Department of Organization and Management of Pharmaceutical Affairs

In accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation between JSC “SKMA” and Azerbaijan Medical University, within the framework of the Academic Mobility Program, a visit of faculty members of JSC “SKMA” to Azerbaijan Medical University (Baku) was organized from April 13 to April 27, 2026: Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Klara Dzholbarisovna Shertayeva, and PhD, Assistant Professor Gulnara Iskakovna Utegenova from the Department of Organization and Management of Pharmaceutical Affairs.

At the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Management of Pharmacy of Azerbaijan Medical University, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Klara Dzholbarisovna Shertayeva and Assistant Professor of the Department of Organization and Management of Pharmaceutical Affairs, Gulnara Iskakovna Utegenova, conducted a master class on the topic: “Experience in the Application of Project-Based Learning at the Department of Organization and Management of Pharmaceutical Affairs.”

The lecturers Shertayeva K.D. and Utegenova G.I. also delivered a lecture for 3rd-year students on the topic: “Pharmaceutical Marketing Management. Marketing Mix. Drug Promotion. Development of a SWOT Matrix for a Pharmaceutical Enterprise.”

Professors of SKMA conducted a series of practical classes at Azerbaijan Medical University. On April 16, 2026, a practical session was held for 3rd-year undergraduate students on the topic: “Key Economic Indicators of Pharmaceutical Institutions. Profit Analysis and Planning (Revenue and Net Profit). Formation of Net Profit. Calculation of Profitability and Other Financial Indicators of an Enterprise.”
The conducted classes were aimed at developing practical skills: students analyzed real-life cases, performed calculations of economic indicators, and learned to analyze the financial performance of pharmacy organizations.

Within the framework of the Academic Mobility Program, a round table was held on the topic: “Current Issues of Cooperation in Scientific, Educational, and Methodological Activities between the Departments of SKMA and PT&PM (AMU).”

During the meeting, participants discussed prospects for further cooperation and exchanged experience in organizing the educational process, scientific research, and methodological work. Special attention was given to the implementation of modern educational technologies, development of joint scientific projects, and academic mobility of faculty members and students.

During a meeting with the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Azerbaijan Medical University, Professor A.A. Agaev, issues related to the organization of the educational process in both universities and prospective areas of cooperation were discussed. During the visit, an agreement was signed on conducting joint scientific research in the field of organization and management of pharmaceutical activities, as well as a joint industrial practice program in pharmacy management and economics for international students.

As a result of the visit, the Vice-Rector for International Relations of Azerbaijan Medical University awarded certificates confirming the completion of the Academic Mobility Program.
