“Our Elders — Our Priceless Treasure”

Students from groups BM-МҚА-06-23 and BM-МҚА-05-23 of the Department of Therapy at South Kazakhstan Medical Academy visited a nursing home as part of the charitable initiative “Our Elders — Our Priceless Treasure,” bringing joy, care, and warmth to the elderly residents.

During the visit, the students measured the residents’ blood pressure, performed auscultation, and conducted general physical examinations. They also asked questions about the residents’ health, explained the correct technique for measuring blood pressure, and demonstrated the procedure in practice. This visit provided future doctors with an opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting and gain a deeper understanding of the importance of caring for older people.

The students also presented a short concert programme, bringing smiles and uplifting spirits to the residents. Students who actively participated in the initiative and contributed to its success were awarded letters of appreciation.
