“Pedagogical Ethics: Demands of the New Era”

Today, the demands placed on the education system are increasing day by day. In particular, educators are now expected not only to be professionally competent but also to uphold high standards of ethical conduct and moral responsibility. In response to this, a large-scale seminar titled “Pedagogical Ethics: Demands of the New Era” is being held today at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, organized by the Pedagogical Service.
The seminar is divided into two stages. The first stage involved participation from college instructors affiliated with the academy. During the meeting, various topics were discussed in depth, including the image of the modern educator, ethical norms and dress code, corporate ethics, and value-based education rooted in national traditions.
The event was opened by the Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Affairs, Yerbol Salim, who emphasized that pedagogical ethics form the foundation of trust and mutual respect between teachers and students. According to Vice-Rector Yerbol Kaltursynuly, an educator should consistently demonstrate fair, impartial, and respectful behavior. He also noted that maintaining neutrality on sensitive topics such as gender and religion is a sign of a teacher’s cultural maturity.
One of the key themes of the seminar was the external appearance and dress style of educators. The Vice-Rector highlighted the importance of maintaining a professional dress code and pointed out that a teacher’s attire reflects their professional reputation and the respect they command. He stressed that dressing with taste is also an important tool in influencing students’ cultural upbringing. The seminar also touched on Abai Kunanbayev’s concept of the “Perfect Human,” which lies at the core of national education.
At the seminar, the Head of the Psychological Service, Bakytgul Kalmagambetova, delivered a speech focusing on the importance of corporate ethics. She stated that respectful relationships, mutual support, and understanding among colleagues are key factors in enhancing the effectiveness of the educational process. Additionally, Bakytgul Kalmagambetova reinforced her points by presenting a pre-prepared short film created by the Psychological Service team.
