On April 23, 2026, under the organization of Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Hygiene and Ecology S.U. Yeskerova, an interactive event on the topic “Prevention of Bloodborne Infections” was held among 3rd-year students of the Dentistry educational program. The event was dedicated to World Health Day and also aimed at summarizing the academic cycle in the discipline “Hygiene and Epidemiology” with group VM-STQB-01-23.

The event was attended by the faculty members: Kulmirzaeva D.M., Beisembaeva Z.I., Zhaksybaeva Zh.Zh., Aliev D.S., as well as students of groups VM-STQAB-01-23 and STQAB-02-23.
The purpose of the event was to assess students’ knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in the hygiene and epidemiology module, as well as to develop their ability, as future dentists, to apply sanitary-epidemiological requirements and regulatory documents in practice.
During the event, students of group VM-STQB-01-23, Baitimov I. and Bizhanov A., delivered presentations on HIV and viral hepatitis. Informational video materials prepared by Arapbay R. and Sultankazykyzy M. were also shown.

The moderator, Begalieva A., introduced the participants to the plan and rules of the event. The students were divided into four teams: “Health Guardians,” “Epid Control,” “Vitamin,” and “Virus.” Four AI-generated clinical case scenarios were presented by Begalieva A., Orazgali K., and Aitbaeva A. Each team successfully determined the correct diagnosis within the given time.

Bekbolat D. conducted a task aimed at assessing students’ knowledge of sanitary-epidemiological terminology and regulatory documents, where participants completed partially given definitions. In addition, teams demonstrated practical skills by performing azopyram and phenolphthalein tests to assess the quality of sterilization of dental instruments. The practical demonstration was performed by Nabiialy A., a student of group STQA-02-23 - team “Virus”.

After that, all teams completed test tasks on the Quizziz platform. The evaluation was carried out by a student commission consisting of Mirzakhmetov S., Sultankazykyzy M., and Momynbekov A.
According to the results:
1st place – “Health Guardians”
2nd place – “Virus”
3rd place – “Vitamin” and “Epid Control”
The winners and active participants were awarded prizes.

The event generated great interest among students and received positive feedback from the faculty. The importance of conducting final cycle assessments was emphasized.
Head of the Department Kulmirzaeva D.M. demonstrated a rapid HIV test and invited participants to undergo testing.
At the end, S.U. Yeskerova delivered a closing speech and expressed gratitude to all participants.
