Promoting Academic Integrity: Meeting of the Methodological Council of SKMA

On April 30, 2026, at the regular meeting of the Methodological Council of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs M.U. Anartayeva, together with Compliance Officer N.A. Pernebayev, held a meeting with the heads of departments. During the meeting, one of the key topics discussed was the promotion of the principles of academic integrity in the educational process. In addition, an action plan for preparing the self-assessment required for the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy’s admission to the League of Academic Integrity was presented. The Compliance Officer conducted explanatory work regarding the implementation of the action plan for preparing the self-assessment approved by the League of Academic Integrity. He also provided detailed information on the main requirements and stages of preparation for joining the League of Academic Integrity and answered questions raised by colleagues. Special attention was paid to the issues of fostering a culture of academic integrity, observing ethical standards, and increasing the responsibility of all participants in the educational process. The participants emphasized the importance of implementing the principles of transparency, fairness, and openness in the university’s activities.
