
On April 7, 2026, the Regional Society of Infectious Disease Specialists was held at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy at the initiative of the Health Department of the Turkestan Region. The meeting addressed issues of diagnosis, treatment, and management algorithms of especially dangerous infectious diseases that are currently relevant both globally and regionally (CCHF, anthrax, cholera, plague, and monkeypox).
The aim of the event was to enhance the professional qualifications of healthcare workers, improve knowledge of especially dangerous infectious diseases, and strengthen practical skills.
The event was attended by infectious disease specialists, general practitioners, emergency physicians and paramedics, as well as epidemiologists from medical organizations.
During the event, the faculty members of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy delivered presentations on current issues related to especially dangerous infections, including clinical features, diagnostic methods, treatment strategies, and anti-epidemic measures:

Practical issues were discussed with the participants, and there was an exchange of opinions on specific clinical cases from practice.
