"Republic Day: History, Significance, and Future"

On the eve of the Republic Day of Kazakhstan on October 23, 2025 with the aim of discussing the history of the country’s state sovereignty, the formation and development of the idea of independence, enhancing students’ patriotism and fostering a sense of responsibility among youth for the future of their country the Department of Social and Humanitarian disciplines organized a round table titled “Republic Day of Kazakhstan: History, Significance, and Future” with the participation of the students group В-FOТКАB-02-24. That event was coordinated by the candidate of historical sciences, associate professor M.A.Zhanysbekov and senior lecturer E.Zh.Burkhan.
The Head of the Department, Sh.A.Ashirov opened the event with an introductory speech, emphasizing the historical and spiritual significance of the Republic Day as the national holiday of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He urged students to be active citizens, to care deeply about the fate of their country, and to take pride in the achievements of independent Kazakhstan.
Furthermore, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor M.A. Zhanysbekov delivered a presentation on history of the establishment of Republic Day and its role in the political and cultural life of the sovereign state. He highlighted the importance of deeply understanding the history of one’s nation and contributing to societal development through the promotion of national values.
During the round table, students and faculty members discussed the socio-economic and political accomplishments of Kazakhstan over the years of independence. Students shared their reflections and exchanged opinions on the country’s future and the role of youth. As part of the event, a video was illustrating the national symbols and key historical periods of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The round table “Republic Day of Kazakhstan: History, Significance, and Future” became an important event aimed at fostering respect for national history, cultivating patriotism, and promoting civic engagement among students. The session held at a high level. Students broadened their knowledge of the history of their country and recognized the enduring values of patriotism.
