Round table on the topic “A Strong Family – the Solid Foundation of Society”

On May 15, 2026, the Department of “History of Kazakhstan and Socio-Social Disciplines” held a round table dedicated to May 15 – International Family Day, on the topic “A Strong Family – the Solid Foundation of Society”.

The purpose of the event was to promote family values, foster moral education among young people, increase parental responsibility, and discuss the role of the family in society.
During the round table, faculty members Sahov S.M., Aidarbekova G.S., and Nurzhanbayeva Zh.O. presented informative reports on family values, national upbringing, and the significance of the family institution in society. The role of parental responsibility in youth education and the impact of family unity on social stability were also thoroughly discussed.
During the discussion, participants referred to the statements of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, regarding the importance of strengthening the institution of the family, preserving national values, and the special role of the family in raising the younger generation. It was noted that the President repeatedly emphasizes that the family is the main pillar of society, and a strong family is the foundation of a stable and developed state.
In conclusion, the participants of the round table highlighted the need to continue efforts in promoting family values, strengthening the foundations of national education, and fostering responsibility and morality among young people.
