Round table on the topic “Constitutional Reforms: Benefits and Impact on Society”

Senior lecturer of the Department of “History of Kazakhstan and Socio-Political Disciplines,” M.M. Malikov, held a round table discussion with students of the medical program on the topic “Constitutional Reforms: Benefits and Impact on Society.”
The main purpose of the event was to explain to students the essence and significance of the constitutional reforms carried out in the country, as well as to discuss their impact on the political and legal development of society. In addition, special attention was given to improving students’ civic and legal culture.

During the round table, participants discussed the historical background of constitutional reforms in the Republic of Kazakhstan, their necessity, and main directions of implementation. The role of these reforms in improving the public administration system, ensuring a balance of powers, and protecting citizens’ rights and freedoms was also emphasized.
In his presentation, M.M. Malikov highlighted that constitutional changes are aimed at strengthening democratic processes in society, increasing transparency and accountability, and encouraged students to actively engage in discussions.
Students also shared their opinions, asked questions, and participated in debates. Real-life examples were provided during the event, helping to better explain the importance of constitutional reforms for young people.
At the end of the round table, participants noted the relevance of the topic and emphasized that such educational meetings play an important role in improving the legal literacy of future professionals.
