Round table «Suicide prevention»

30.04.25. Senior lecturer of the department "History of Kazakhstan and socio-social disciplines" M. M. Malikov held a round table with students of the 1st year of the OP "Medicine" in order to prevent auto–destructive (suicide) and strengthen family relations, moral, ethnic and spiritual values among youth and adolescents.
Purpose: To discuss and consider ways to implement effective measures to prevent autodestructive (suicidal) behavior among youth and adolescents. In addition, the strengthening of family relations, the formation of a positive attitude of young people to life and the improvement of the psychological support system through the inculcation of national moral, ethical and spiritual values in the consciousness of young people.

Suicide is one of the most pressing problems among teenagers today. It is alarming that they are doing things that are the future of our country. According to statistics, 1 million suicides are committed annually in the world. Suicide is a conscious cessation of existence, that is, from this point of view, suicide is an act of conscious human behavior.
At the end of the round table, the students shared their impressions of the information, told what conclusions they had drawn, and received answers to all their questions on the topic.
