Scientific Research Project of 5th-Year Students: Clinical and Demographic Analysis of Parkinson's Disease

At the Department of Neurology, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, and Neurosurgery of SKMA, a scientific research project on "Clinical and Demographic Analysis of Parkinson's Disease" was conducted. The project involved 5th-year students from groups В-ЖМҚА-05, В-ЖМҚБ-05, В-ЖМҚА-06.
The project was supervised by Associate Professor Mustapaeva G.A., Associate Professor Erkebaeva S.K., and Assistant Tolebaeva G.E.
The implementation and discussion of the project results also involved Associate Professor Polukchi T.V., as well as Assistants Musaev S.K., Esetova A.A., and Ramanova G.B.
Format: Student scientific research work (NIRS) with elements of seminar sessions and practice-oriented analysis of clinical data.
Within the project, students analyzed current scientific literature and clinical observations to study the clinical and demographic features of Parkinson's disease. Age and gender characteristics of patients, different clinical forms and stages of the disease, as well as features of disease onset and progression, were examined.
The results emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and timely treatment, as well as the necessity of a comprehensive approach to patients with neurological disorders. Participation in the project helped students develop practical research skills, clinical thinking, and deepen their professional knowledge in their specialty.
The project allowed students to gain a deeper understanding of the characteristics of Parkinson's disease and to consolidate skills in analyzing information, preparing, and presenting research results. The obtained materials can be used for further educational and scientific activities at the department.
