
As part of the development of international cooperation, the Department of General Practice–2 of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy hosted a visit by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Family Medicine of Postgraduate Education at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev, Nurlan Nurgazievich Brimkulov.
During the visit, the guest became acquainted with the activities of the academy, visited the main building of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, as well as the Internship Dean’s Office. A working meeting was held with the Dean of Internship, PhD Kanatzhan Saukhanbekovich Kemelbekov, the Head of the Department of General Practice–2, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Gulzhan Nurbekovna Dosybayeva, and Master of Medical Sciences Raushan Amanbayevna Smetova.
During the meeting, актуальные вопросы развития специальностей «General Practice» and «Family Medicine» in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic were discussed. Particular attention was paid to improving the training of general practitioners, implementing modern educational technologies, and exchanging experience in practice-oriented training of interns.
An important part of the visit was a tour of one of the clinical bases of the Department of General Practice–2 — the “Medical City” Medical Center located in the Asar district. Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Gaukhar Sapartayevna Ukbayeva conducted a detailed экскурсию, introducing the professor to the organization of the diagnostic and treatment process, the material and technical base of the center, as well as the conditions created for training and practical education of interns. The structural units of the center and their capabilities were demonstrated during the tour.
Following the visit, both parties emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation between the universities, including the development of academic mobility for faculty members and interns, as well as the implementation of joint educational and research projects.
The visit was held in a constructive and professional atmosphere and became an important step toward strengthening international relations and improving the system of training general practitioners.
