Success of the “PharmTeam” at the International Olympiad in Pharmaceutical Technology

On May 5, 2026, the II International Subject Olympiad in Pharmaceutical Technology for students of the “Pharmacy” educational program was held in an online format at the School of Pharmacy of Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University. Students of the 5th year of the “Pharmacy” program from South Kazakhstan Medical Academy took part in this prestigious competition and demonstrated a high level of training, winning an honorable 3rd place.
The jury included Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Rabiga Anarbayeva. The team “PharmTeam” was led by Guldana Shoynbayeva and included Anel Nurgaliqyzy, Aida Kydyraliyeva, Ayazhan Shymkentbay, Madina Kopzhasar, and Zhansaya Kerimkul. The participants successfully demonstrated strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills, confirming their high level of professional competence in pharmaceutical technology.

The Olympiad consisted of several stages. In the first round, teams introduced themselves through a video presentation lasting up to five minutes, highlighting their creativity and professional orientation. In the second round, participants completed a test on the discipline “Industrial Technology of Medicines” via the Google Test platform. The third round focused on demonstrating practical skills in the discipline “Pharmaceutical Compounding Technology,” where teams showcased their professional competencies.
The Olympiad aimed to enhance students’ professional competencies, improve practical skills, and deepen their knowledge in the field of pharmaceutical technology.
