On April 20, 2026, students of the ВM-MҚқАБ-04-25 groups successfully defended their project work in the discipline of Biostatistics at the Department of Medical Biophysics and Information Technologies.
The students explored modern and relevant topics, analyzing factors that affect health and lifestyle using biostatistical methods:
1. The impact of electronic cigarettes on lung function
2. The relationship between caffeine consumption and heart rate
3. The level of social media use and its impact on students’ academic performance
4. The harm of frequent consumption of Chinese products among school students
During the project, the students developed questionnaires, collected and processed data, conducted statistical analysis, formulated well-grounded scientific conclusions, and proposed recommendations. All work over the 10-day period was carried out using a Trello board, which helped organize and track the project progress.
This experience contributed to the development of their research skills and demonstrated their ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practice.
We congratulate all participants on their successful defense and wish them continued academic and scientific success!
