The conference was dedicated to achievements in the field of biomedicine

From September 17 to 19, 2025, the international scientific conference "LIFE SCIENCES TODAY 2025 – Frontiers in Biomedicine: Infer, Innovate, Impact" was held in Astana. The event was dedicated to cutting-edge achievements in the field of biomedicine, covering areas such as genomics, oncology, neurobiology, immunology, regenerative medicine, and physiology. The conference took place at the Life Sciences Center (Private Institution “National Laboratory Astana”, Nazarbayev University). The organizer of the event was National Laboratory Astana. The conference was held in honor of the 15th anniversary of the Life Sciences Center and the 10th anniversary of the National Laboratory. The main goal of the conference was to foster international collaboration in innovative research, contributing to major scientific discoveries and breakthroughs. Experts from Japan, the USA, and European countries took part in the event. The conference served as an important platform for exchanging experience, discussing current challenges in diagnostics and treatment of various diseases, implementing innovations and new technologies, and strengthening scientific and professional ties among leading institutions from around the world. A delegation from the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy took an active part in the event. The delegation was headed by Vice-Rector for Research N.E. Aukenov, and included N.A. Zharkynbekova, Head of the Department of Neurology, and doctoral student O.Yu. Okroadze. During the "Neurodegenerative Diseases" session, Professor N.A. Zharkynbekova delivered a presentation. During the official meeting with representatives of Nazarbayev University, the parties discussed prospects for scientific collaboration, exchange of experience, and the implementation of joint scientific and educational programs.
