On May 4, 2026, the faculty members of the Department of “History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences” conducted an explanatory session on the topic “The Essence and Principles of Academic Integrity” for first-year students enrolled in the educational programs “Medicine” and “Pharmacy,” as well as for students of the international faculty.
The purpose of the event was to explain the principles of academic integrity to students, emphasize the importance of honesty and responsibility in the learning process, prevent plagiarism and academic misconduct, and foster proper academic behavior aimed at improving the quality of education.
During the session, the instructors подробно explained the main principles of academic integrity, the rules of conduct during the examination period, and the responsibilities of students. Specific examples were used to demonstrate the consequences of plagiarism, cheating, and other academic violations, as well as their negative impact on the quality of knowledge.
Special attention was given to the importance of acquiring knowledge honestly during the examination period, developing independent study skills, and consciously achieving academic results.
Throughout the meeting, students asked questions, exchanged opinions on the topic, and showed active participation.
In conclusion, it can be noted that this event contributed to improving students’ academic culture, fostering a responsible attitude toward exam preparation, and strengthening the principles of integrity in the educational process.
