The General Practice Physician Department–2 held an event on HIV/AIDS prevention

On December 1, 2025, in recognition of World AIDS Day, the Department of General Practice-2, together with group IJTDQ 17-25 and the scientific supervisor, PhD Sartaеva Kalamkas Almeshovna held an informational and educational session dedicated to the issue of HIV/AIDS. During the event, interns discussed the global and national significance of AIDS, the transmission routes of HIV infection, prevention strategies, risk groups, and approaches to reducing stigma and discrimination in society.  The current epidemiological situation of HIV in Kazakhstan, the importance of preventive programs, and the need to increase public awareness were also highlighted. The session aimed to strengthen interns’ knowledge in infectious disease prevention, epidemiological surveillance, and public health in relation to socially significant infections.
