On September 29, 2026, under the supervision of Acting Associate Professor Z. I. Beisembayeva, students of group VM-MҚқБ-01-25 from the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology conducted an educational session for the children attending the “Bal-Aibike” National Health-Promoting Kindergarten on the topic “The Impact of Mobile Phones on Children’s Health.” The aim of the session was to provide children with a simple understanding of how excessive mobile phone use can affect their health and to explain the effects of prolonged screen time on their eyes, bodies, and daily routines. The session also aimed to foster a sense of responsibility for maintaining good health and to encourage children to replace excessive phone use with more beneficial activities, such as playing games, reading books, drawing, spending time outdoors, and communicating with friends. The lesson content was adapted to the children’s age and level of understanding. Complex medical terminology was avoided, and all information was presented in simple, accessible language. With the help of artificial intelligence (AI), the students presented an animated video they had prepared for the session. To encourage active participation, the lesson also included a question-and-answer session, educational games, and physical activities. Throughout the session, the children were enthusiastic and actively engaged in the activities. They answered questions and participated in the games with great interest. Visual illustrations helped capture and maintain their attention. The game “Healthy or Harmful?” was particularly popular with the children. They expressed their opinions and tried to explain why certain actions were beneficial or harmful. During the physical activities, the children moved around actively and enjoyed themselves. The use of a playful, interactive approach helped them understand and absorb the topic more easily. Overall, the educational session proved to be both engaging and beneficial for the children. During the lesson, they not only gained new knowledge but also developed a basic understanding of the importance of taking care of their health and making good use of their free time. In recognition of the students’ efforts, the kindergarten staff expressed their best wishes for the students’ future success and presented them with a letter of appreciation.
