The most pressing issues of practical training for medical interns were discussed

The Department of Family Medicine at SKMA organized a round table discussion on the topic: “The Role of Mentorship and Methodological Support in Shaping the Professional Identity of a Medical Intern.” The moderator of the event was K.K. Atashova. The meeting was opened by Professor of the Department, Doctor of Medical Sciences I.A. Samchenko. As part of the round table, the Dean of Internship, PhD, Associate Professor K.S. Kemelbekov, Chief Physician of Shymkent City Clinical Hospital No. 1 B.Zh. Pazylov, Deputy Head of City Polyclinic No. 1 D.T. Kazakhbayeva, and Deputy Head of City Polyclinic No. 7 A.D. Saparbekov discussed current issues related to the practical training of medical interns. 

As an employer, B.Zh. Pazylov highlighted the modern stringent requirements imposed on young specialists and shared recommendations for improving the medical education system. The medical interns also spoke about the challenges they encounter during their practical training. The round table discussion was held at a high professional level.
