Tashkent International Marathon 2026 was held in the heart of Tashkent on April 5 and has already become a real hallmark of the country, which annually unites running enthusiasts from all over the world. The marathon was founded in 2019, it quickly grew to an international level and is now included in the World Athletics calendar as a prestigious race with official status.
The special symbolism of the event was given by its holding during the Nauryz holiday — a time of renewal, energy and new beginnings.
In 2026, the marathon attracted over 15,000 participants from 30+ countries, turning the city into a huge running arena where everyone felt like they were part of something truly big and inspiring.
The main highlight of the marathon is the incredible energy and atmosphere of unity. On the day of the start, the whole city lived in the rhythm of running: the streets were blocked, thousands of people came out to support the participants, and the track itself passed through the central and picturesque areas of the city, starting at the legendary Humo Arena.
The marathon provided distances for any level of training.:
• Classic marathon (42 km),
• Half marathon (21 km),
• 10 km and 5 km races,
• as well as children's and amateur starts.

They participated from the Academy at a distance of 10 km:
• Khojakulova Umida Abdyvalyevna – Head of the Doctoral and Master's Degree Department, assistant of the Department of Emergency Medicine and Nursing;
• Turabek Madina Aidarkyzy - Head of the Youth Policy Department.
With their personal participation, the SKMA team wanted to inspire others to run and lead a more active life, show the value of teamwork, support the development of mass sports and instill attention to health.
We are sincerely proud of our colleagues who presented the Academy with dignity and showed by their example that true strength lies in movement, mutual support and striving for new heights.
We sincerely wish them further victories and inspiration in new achievements!
