The students completed their internship (practical training) in pharmacies

First-year students (shortened program — 2 years) of the “Pharmacy” educational program of the Faculty of Pharmacy completed an “Introductory educational practice” from January 12 to January 16, 2025, and an educational practice in “Pharmaceutical Technology” from January 19 to January 23, 2025, at the pharmacies of City Hospital No. 2 and “Recept” LLP.
The academic supervisors from the department were senior lecturers Nurbayeva S.E. and Shoinbayeva G.B. The practice supervisor at the pharmacy of City Hospital No. 2 was Mirsalieva M.M., and at the pharmacy of “Recept” LLP — Baimbetov E.A.
During the practice, students became familiar with the work of a pharmacy, the basic requirements of the sanitary regime and sanitary-educational activities, processes of preparing pharmaceutical dosage forms, quality assessment of medicines, their documentation and dispensing organization, specific features of medicine storage in pharmacies, as well as regulatory documentation requirements. While completing the practice, students fully complied with the regulatory legal acts in the healthcare system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, internal pharmacy regulations, and safety rules.
The students effectively applied their theoretical knowledge in practice, became acquainted with the main areas of pharmacy operations, and carefully and efficiently completed the assigned tasks. As a result of the practice, the head of the pharmacy of City Hospital No. 2 and the head of the pharmacy of “Recept” LLP sent a letter of appreciation to the Head of the Department of “Drug Technology and Pharmacognosy”, Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor Toksanbayeva Zhanat Sadebekkyzy, for the high level of training of first-year students (shortened program — 2 years) enrolled in the “Pharmacy” educational program.
