On October 5, 2026, the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences, represented by Associate Professor S.M. Sakhov and Lecturer A.B. Turmatova, held an educational hour entitled “The Teacher’s Path Is a Noble Path” for first-year students of the Dentistry educational program. The event was aimed at promoting Abai Kunanbaiuly’s concept of “Tolyk Adam” (The Complete Person).
The main objective was to highlight the importance of teaching in society, strengthen respect and continuity between teachers and students, and foster such qualities as morality, responsibility, diligence, and a commitment to learning.
During the event, students discussed the key principles of Abai’s “Tolyk Adam” concept, including the pursuit of knowledge, hard work, honesty, conscience, and responsibility. They shared their views on the role of teachers in shaping the younger generation and reflected on the value of teaching as a profession.
The creative part of the event added a special atmosphere. Students expressed their appreciation and respect for their teachers through songs, traditional instrumental performances (kui), and poetry. Their performances highlighted the importance of honoring teachers and preserving national cultural traditions.
The event also focused on spiritual and moral values, respect for mentors, and the promotion of national art and cultural heritage.
The educational hour “The Teacher’s Path Is a Noble Path” became a meaningful platform for reflecting on mentorship, personal responsibility, and moral values, while promoting the idea of “Tolyk Adam” as an important life principle.
