“To a Just Society – A Sincere Word”: The President’s Book in the Spotlight of Students

On September 18 2026 the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences organized an educational event for first-year students dedicated to the presentation of the new book by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, entitled “To a Just Society – A Sincere Word.”
The main purpose of the event was to introduce students to the reflections and views of the Head of State on issues related to the socio-economic and social development of the country, education and science, national values, the rule of law and public order, as well as the civic responsibility of young people.
The students were introduced to the content and key themes of the book by the Head of the Department, Zh.O. Nurzhanbayeva. She highlighted the main content of the publication and noted that the book brings together speeches, articles, interviews, and important reflections of the Head of State expressed over different years.
During the presentation, particular attention was paid to issues of justice, the rule of law and public order, education and science, national values, civic responsibility, diligence, and patriotism. The Head of the Department emphasized the relevance of the issues addressed in the book to contemporary society and highlighted the importance of young people striving for quality education, self-development, and making their own contribution to the development of the country.
As part of the event, students became acquainted with the content of the book, shared their opinions, and exchanged views on current issues concerning the development of society and the state. The importance of developing a culture of reading, increasing interest in social issues, and fostering awareness of civic responsibility was also emphasized.
The educational meeting was aimed at enhancing students’ social and civic awareness, fostering civic responsibility, promoting national values, and encouraging interest in reading.
The presentation of “To a Just Society – A Sincere Word” was an informative and meaningful meeting for first-year students. It broadened their understanding of current issues of social development and encouraged them to reflect on the importance of the personal responsibility of the younger generation for the future of the country.
