On October 15, 2026, M. M. Malikov, Senior Lecturer at the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences, held a round-table discussion for first-year students titled “Anti-Corruption Conduct in Assessment, Examinations, Educational Grant Awards, Dormitory Placement, and Admission to Educational Institutions.”
The purpose of the event was to explain the negative impact of corruption on society and the education system, improve students’ legal awareness, promote the principles of academic integrity, and foster the values of fairness and responsibility.
During the round-table discussion, students received detailed information about ensuring transparency and fairness in the educational process, maintaining academic integrity during examinations and assessments, and ensuring that the procedures for awarding educational grants and allocating dormitory places are lawful and transparent. The participants also discussed the importance of preventing unlawful privileges, favouritism, gift-giving, bribery, and other forms of corruption during admission to educational institutions.
Such events help strengthen students’ civic responsibility, enhance their legal awareness, and foster zero tolerance for all forms of corruption.
