On April 25, 2026, the Department of Foreign Languages of South Kazakhstan Medical Academy organized an online interuniversity republican expressive reading competition titled “Tribute to the Homeland,” dedicated to the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan celebrated on May 1.
The expressive reading competition is a creative contest in which students demonstrate their ability to read texts correctly, clearly, emotionally, and expressively. During the competition, participants recited poems, stories, and excerpts from literary works, showcasing their intonation, diction, and ability to convey emotions and meaning.
The purpose of the competition is to develop students’ vocabulary, increase their interest in literature, and improve their stage culture and speaking skills. In addition, the contest teaches participants to understand literary works deeply and present them to the audience in an impressive and expressive manner.
Among the 56 participants representing 4 universities across the country, many students won first, second, and third places, while the remaining participants and their supervisors were awarded certificates.
We congratulate all students who participated in the competition on their achievements and wish them further creative success!
