Vaccination – A Guarantee of Public Health

Z.I. Beisembayeva, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology, conducted a practical session for third-year students of the Medicine program at a healthcare institution. The purpose of the session was to reinforce the students’ theoretical knowledge of preventive vaccination acquired during the Hygiene and Epidemiology courses, as well as to familiarize them with vaccination procedures and the organization of work in a vaccination room.
During the session, the students became acquainted with the procedure for administering preventive vaccinations in an outpatient clinic. Particular attention was paid to the organization of the vaccination room, sanitary and epidemiological requirements, preparation of patients for vaccination, and the proper completion of medical documentation.
The students received information on the importance of preventive vaccination, types of vaccines, and indications and contraindications for vaccination. In addition, possible post-vaccination reactions and the medical care provided in the event of complications were discussed.

Throughout the session, the students observed the work of healthcare professionals and had the opportunity to integrate their theoretical knowledge with practical experience. At the end of the session, the key points of the topic were summarized, and the students’ questions were answered
