
On September 16, 2025, the Department of Neurology, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation and Neurosurgery hosted the defense of research projects by 5th-year students from Kazakh-speaking groups — ZHMQA-06-21, ZHMQA-07-21, and ZHMQB-07-21.
Future doctors presented research works on relevant topics in neurological practice. The projects focused on the following conditions:
• Epilepsy
• Migraine
• Hemorrhagic stroke
The defenses were conducted in the Kazakh language, emphasizing the importance of developing medical science in the native language and training professionals fluent in medical terminology.
The event was attended by representatives of the department’s academic staff:
• Associate Professors: Erkebayeva S.K., Mustapaeva G.A., Polukchi T.V.
• Assistants: Yesetova A.A., Tolebayeva G.E.
Faculty members highly praised the scientific level of the presented projects, the logical structure of the research, and the students’ confident public speaking. Particular attention was given to the students’ dedication to deeply understanding complex clinical conditions and their impact on patients' quality of life.
The department continues to actively foster student research activity, support academic initiatives, and encourage a spirit of inquiry among future healthcare professionals.
